Sylvan Hills player's star on the rise

SHERWOOD, Ark. - Sylvan Hills High School's 6-foot-5 junior guard Archie Goodwin could pretty much take his pick of any NCAA Divison I school right now - and he's only a junior.

According to ESPN and Yahoo!, Goodwin is one of the top prospects in the recruiting class of 2012, and consistently ranks in the top five in recruiting polls.

Goodwin is considering several schools, including Arkansas, Missouri, and Kentucky. Wildcats coach John Calipari was seen at courtside Tuesday to observe his skills firsthand.

Goodwin is a member of the Sylvan Hills High School Varsity basketball team as well as the Arkansas Wings 17U AAU team.  Sylvan Hills has a 10-3 record so far this season, and Goodwin scores an average of 30 points per game on his own.
