St. Vincent North chosen as December's Business of the Month

The Sherwood Chamber of Commerce has chosen St. Vincent Medical Center North as the December Business of the Month.

St. Vincent has embodied a spirit of charity, love of the poor, and a sincere desire to end suffering from its inception as "The Charity Hospital" in 1888 to the current era of managed care and rapid change in health care. St. Vincent North, in Sherwood, is proud to have provided high quality care to the people north of the Arkansas River for 11 years since opening in October 1999.

Patients who are admitted to St. Vincent North or any other St. Vincent facilities have the convenience of private rooms, because all St. Vincent facilities, including St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center, St. Vincent North and St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Morrilton, are staffed and equipped to provide privacy to patients and their families and guests.

The Wildwood Medical Clinic, located inside St. Vincent North, provides routine medical care, annual physical exams, health screenings, and preventive care. The physicians there treat their own patients who are admitted to St. Vincent North.

Sherwood residents have the option of the St. Vincent Family Clinic in Jacksonville on Main Street, which serves patients from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday with comprehensive pediatric and family medical care. For added convenience, St. Vincent Family Clinic/Jacksonville also offers in-house X-ray capabilities for certain procedures.

St. Vincent North is one of three hospitals that make up the St. Vincent Health System. St. Vincent Infirmary is located in Little Rock. St. Anthony’s Medical Center is located in Morrilton. St. Vincent Health System is part of Catholic Health Initiatives, a national non-profit health organization with headquarters in Denver. The faith-based system operates in 19 states and includes 73 hospitals; 40 long-term care, assisted- and residential-living facilities; two community health-services organizations; and home health agencies.
