First responders, families to remember fallen firefighter

SHERWOOD, Ark. (KTHV) - Funeral arrangements are coming together and a memorial service is planned for Monday for a volunteer firefighter that was shot and killed responding to an emergency.

Hundreds of people are expected at the Capitol on Monday, January 25 to remember the life of Lt. Jason Adams. Flashlights will be raised in his honor. Included will be the loved ones who kiss those first responders goodbye each day. For them, Adams' death is a grim reminder that each call, no matter how big or small, comes with risk.

"Jason was a fireman. He ate, drink and slept fire department,” said Sherwood Fire Chief, David Teague.
